The Josta® wall rack is a very popular individual wall-mounted bicycle rack. It can be installed directly to the wall or on metal frameworks.

The racks can also be installed with or without the U-shaped or wall and floor mounted security bar, which provides the user with locking points.

  • Installed in a high-low formation to stop the handlebars from clashing

  • High capacity storage solution
  • 90, 60, 45 and 30 degree angles available, orientation to the left or right
  • Optional security bar provides locking points for the bike frame

Why This Product is so Good

This functional and well-designed wall mounted rack holds the bicycle securely in place, while the (optional) security bar provides a locking point for the bike frame.
The rack can be installed where space is at a premium or where it is impossible to mount a rack to the ground.

The bicycle can be stored vertically or horizontally, depending on the height the rack is installed at. This results in neat and organised individual parking.
Apart from the standard 90 degree option, the racks and security bar can be delivered at a 60, 45 and 30 degree angles to the left or right. This allows the racks to be fitted to narrow sites.

This cycle rack can be used to help demonstrate compliance with BREEAM and achieve a high BREEAM rating.*
This cycle rack can be used to help contribute towards gaining your 2 ENE8 Cycle Storage Credits when used in an appropriate situation, under the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Capacity

This system holds one bicycle per hook. Two hooks can share one security bar between them.

Dimensions

Rack: 300mm high and 300m out from the wall

Security bar: 1000mm out from the wall approx

Mounting/Installation

The racks and bars are fixed directly to the wall using standard bolts. The security bars can also be fixed to the floor for a stronger finish.

Material Options

These racks are made of 14mm diameter galvanised steel bar. They are usually galvanised but can also be powder coated.

Locking Mechanisms

The cyclist can lock the bike frame and wheels to the security bar using their own chain or D-lock.

If the rack is installed without a security bar, the bike can be locked to the rack using a long chain. Another option is to use a ground or wall anchor.

Accessories

Security barWe strongly recommend installing the rack together with a security bar. This allows the cyclist to lock the frame and wheels.

Security

The security bar provides many locking points for a bike.

However, the racks are only as good as the user’s lock. The bikes are visible to potential thieves and vandals, and they are open to the elements (unless under a shelter). Accessories, wheels and saddles can be stolen from them.

Please see our product range for more long-term secure bicycle parking.
