Our installation team recently undertook a cycle shelter refurbishment project at Brune Park Community School in Gosport, Hampshire, restoring the run down Solent Bike Shelter to its former glory. The shelter is used by students and staff to securely store their bikes, and encourages active travel.

The Refurbishment Process
Our CHAS accredited installation team removed and disposed of the current PET, glazing bars, bike racks and undergrowth around compound. All waste metalwork was recycled.
After the original frame was cleaned down, the team painted it with a primer/finish metal paint that contained zinc phosphate for corrosion resistance. All fixings were checked, tightened or replace where necessary.
A new 5mm PETg UV2 was installed to back and ends, whilst new aluminium glazing bars with gaskets were installed. The team then installed six five-hoop Sheffield Stands with a galvanised finish that allows parking for 60 bikes.
