Cycle-Works have recently doubled the bike parking spaces near the main reception area at the University of York.
Two banks of Josta 2-tier racks were installed under two 7m long Cam shelters giving a total of 96 bike parking spaces compared to 48 spaces as basic Sheffield stands before.
Cycle-Works removed the old shelters and the ‘toast racks’ of Sheffield stands. These were then taken in to storage at the university to be used again elsewhere on campus in the future.
The impressive new Cam shelters were then installed to provide cover for the two banks of Josta 2-tier racks.
On a recent visit it appears that there is huge demand for these secure bike parking spaces, as you can see from the above image.
