Cycle-Works are both pleased and excited to have unveiled the new ‘VeloPark’ concept at the Cycle City Active City Conference in Leicester on 18 – 20 May 2016.
The VeloPark provides a cycle parking facility, by taking a typical car parking space of around 2.4m x 4.8m, separated from the road by using bespoke planters that provide an attractive area for cycles to be parked.
The VeloPark is an extension of the pavement to provide a multi-functional space. The base can be constructed from decking, artificial grass, aluminium plate etc. The planters can include seating for cyclists to rest and prepare for their onward travel.
