Small Improvements, Big Impact for Cyclists

Not all cycling infrastructure needs to be large or complex. Often, a few well-designed bicycle racks in the right location can make all the difference.

Cycle-Works recently installed four Rounded A racks in London’s East End on behalf of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The racks were fitted directly onto existing surfaces—making them a quick, secure, and cost-effective upgrade for these locations.

Why the Rounded A Rack Works

One Size Fits All: Accommodates standard bikes, folding bikes, children’s cycles, and mountain bikes with ease.
Better Stability:  The rack supports the bike between the saddle and stem, preventing tipping.
Encourages Secure Locking: The design naturally guides users to lock both the frame and front wheel, while the lower horizontal bar provides easy-to-reach locking points for smaller bikes.
Space-Saving & Simple Installation: No need for heavy groundwork; they bolt straight onto existing pavements.

Unlike traditional Sheffield stands, the Rounded A rack offers improved functionality and accessibility, particularly for folding bikes and children’s cycles—proving that smart design can enhance cycling infrastructure without major investment.
