Not every site is suitable for our standard products. We are therefore very keen to help you to find the best custom-made solution for your site, however small or awkward the available space may be. We also specialise in stylish and individual products made to your requirements. These can usually be combined with your existing entry system if required.
Here are some examples of what we have supplied in the past:
Security compounds for Hampshire County Council
For this site at Ashburton Court in Winchester, Cycle-Works designed and constructed two mesh compounds in the multi-storey staff car park.
More information regarding electronic access can be found on our Electronic Access information page.
Using strong, durable ‘prison mesh’ panels and gates, parking for 56 and 48 bikes was provided. The new facility also included the installation of our popular Rounded A racks, as well as clothes lockers for personal belongings.
This secure custom-made solution makes the most of the available space and was the facility of choice for Hampshire County Council cycle commuters.
Lockable shelters and compounds for St Georges Hospital, London
St Georges hospital needed high capacity racks, installed under a custom-made shelter that matched the surrounding wooden cladding of the Cafeteria building. We therefore designed two open access shelter and a lockable compound. Most of our shelters and compounds can be fitted with Electronic Access.
Custom-made lockable cages for Laing Homes
Cambridge City Council insist on secure cycle parking being provided for new residential buildings. For this major Laing Homes development, we provided a number of custom-made lockable cages with space-saving Josta 2-tier racks inside. Each cage contains between 8 and 12 2-tier bike racks. This way, the available space was maximised, and every apartment user has access to a secure lockable compound.
This small primary school needed a combined waiting and bicycle shelter, which we custom-made to fit the restricted area.
London Cycling Campaign – Headquarters
For this site, only a narrow corridor was available for bike parking.
Cycle-Works provided the LCC with a rail on the side wall to lock bicycles to, with a clear PET cover to give some protection without causing a hazard for pedestrians.
Bespoke racks for Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford
When we installed parking for 200 bikes at Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford, the standard Rounded A rack was re-designed to mirror the college logo and architecture. Therefore, the usually flat security bar was done in a ‘chevron’ shape, and the rounded top of the rack mirrors the famous cupola of the buildings.
Other bespoke racks
Our Rounded A rack can be altered to include your logo, advertising panels and other designs.
